The text is a poetic adaptation of Saint Teresa of \u00c1vila&#8217;s First Exclamation, a mystical prayer in which the author expresses the pain of being separated from God.<br>The music, characterized by a mystical musical language, echoes of the Spanish tradition, and a strong dramatic intensity, reinforces and amplifies the meaning of the text: the longing to overcome human imperfections, the fear of earthly existence, and the suffering of life as the path toward union with God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Performed by Anna Cimmarrusti (soprano) and the Orchestra and Chorus of Teatro Comunale di Bologna, conducted by Marco Angius.
